From TX-71 : From TX-71 follow signs for U.S. 183 South to Burleson Road, Turn Left on Burleson Road, Turn Left on Emma Browning Ave, follow the Left curve in the road leading you into the South Terminal.
Yes. Local taxies as well as rideshares will pick you up or drop you off at the South Terminal.
A shuttle bus will pick up passengers needing rental cars outside of the South Terminal Arrivals area. You will be transported to the airport’s Rental Car Facility where all rental cars for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport can be picked up and dropped off. When you return your rental car, the same shuttle bus will bring you back to the South Terminal.
The South Terminal will have a shuttle bus available to take passengers to the Barbara Jordan Terminal if they have connecting flights on airlines that are not serviced by the South Terminal.
The South Terminal recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before the boarding time listed on your boarding pass. This will allow you to check your bags, process through security, and be in the Departures Lounge with plenty of time before your flight.
Yes. Be sure to contact your airline to learn about their policies for traveling with pets. All pets must be on a leash or in an approved crate while at the South Terminal. There are multiple grassy areas for pet relief located outside the terminal near Short Term parking as well as a pet relief area in our outdoor patio post-security.
If you are picking up passengers at the South Terminal you may choose to either wait in the Cell Phone lot; or park in our Premium parking lot (directly in front of the South Terminal) to wait for your passengers inside the Baggage Claim area. You may also drive along the road directly in front of the Arrivals area and pick up your passenger, but remember that this area is for quick pick-ups only; and no-unattended vehicles are permitted.
If you are dropping passengers off at the South Terminal you may park in our Premium parking lot (directly in front of the South Terminal) to accompany your passengers into the Ticketing Hall before the Security Checkpoint. You may also drop passengers off in front of the terminal at the Departures area along the roadway.
Yes. The entire South Terminal, outdoor patio, and boarding ramps can be easily accessed by anyone who may require wheeled assistance.
The South Terminal honors ABIA’s disabled veteran parking policy.
- A disabled veteran may park in the ECONOMY Parking Lot at the South Terminal for up to 5 days at no-charge.
- The vehicle must have “DV” plates.
- In the event that you park longer than 5 days, additional days will be charged the normal rate of $10.00 per day.
If you are traveling between the two terminals there is a shuttle bus that picks up and drops off on the upper deck of the Barbara Jordan terminal.
Offsite Parking facilities will not be supported by the South Terminal. If you are parking at the airport and using the South Terminal you must use the South Terminal’s parking lot.
The location is designated by a large red and white sign that reads “South Terminal”.
The Shuttle runs during flight operations and the trip takes around 15-20 minutes to get to and from each terminal.
